Discovering names across the rotating faces of a kinetic grid
Names in Motion is an interactive puzzle that explores identity and community through the significance of our names. The sculpture features a 9x9 grid, inspired by Sudoku and word-search game concepts.

9 x 9 Three-dimensional grid SketchUp prototype
The grid is made up of wooden cubes that rotate around vertical axes, each controlled by synchronized Arduino motors; each axis is controlled by synchronized Arduino motors.

Motors are assembled under each vertical axis.
Each rotation reveals new letter combinations, inviting viewers to discover their own names and those of others across the sculpture’s four faces.
